Rajeev Samant, Founder & CEO of Sula Vineyards along with Cecilia Oldne,Global Brand Ambassador & Head International Business, hosted a degustation dinner at Remerciements Okamoto on 31st October, 2014. Sula introduced their wines in Japan in 2007, today Japan is Sula’s third largest export market. While at Vinexpo, Sula hosted an exclusive dinner for themembers of the wine industry in Japan.
During the dinner, Rajeev Samant spoke about the birth of the world’s newest wine region – Nasik in India – and how this discovery has helped elevate Indian wine to a global level. Sula wines were paired with the food of 3-star Michelin chef, Japan’s Chef Okamoto. A seven–course menu of carrot mousse, lobster, caviar, truffle, risotto, roast lamb. The selection for the night included Sula Brut, Sula Sauvignon Blanc, Dindori Reserve Viognier, Dindori Reserve,Shiraz and Sula Late Harvest Chenin Blanc.
Cecilia Oldne added, “The Japanese are known for their refined and sophisticated taste and place a premium on quality. We take great pride in being able to do well in this market as it stands as testament to the consistent quality of our wines.”
